Best Ventura Farm Stand
I love stopping at fruit stands when I travel, and on a recent road trip I discovered a spot I’m happy to call the best Ventura farm stand. Santiago’s Fruit Stand stood out as a highlight of the drive along the California coast.
Many small farm stands offer a few seasonal items, but it can be hard to find one with a wide enough selection to cover a week’s worth of produce. Santiago’s has an impressive variety: large quantities of local, seasonal fruits and vegetables plus items sourced from farther afield to round out their offerings. Finding locally grown cherimoya there was a pleasant surprise, since they aren’t easy to come by.
Staples like strawberries, oranges, and avocados—produce that’s available most of the year in this region—were on display alongside more unusual items. Many basics were priced affordably at $1.49 per pound, with other items sold by the piece or by weight, so it’s easy to mix and match for meals throughout the week.

Parking at the stand is free, and they accept both cash and credit cards. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating an overall pleasant shopping experience. With good prices, a wide selection, and convenient parking, it’s an easy stop for anyone passing through the area.
I’ll definitely stop again the next time I’m driving through this scenic stretch of the coast.
