(Inside: I love a cute and silly recipe. But one that tastes as cute and amazing as it looks? That, my friends, is worth the ultimate name: Unicorn Pancakes. If you don’t make these at least once in your life, you’re missing out.)
Sometimes you need a breakfast that’s so delightfully whimsical it makes your morning feel special.
Maybe you tell yourself you’re making it “for the family,” but really it’s a treat you secretly planned for yourself. Either way, everyone ends up delighted.
And what you’ll be making: the most adorable stack of colorful pancakes topped with whipped cream, condensed milk and sprinkles.

I’ll admit it—I fell a little in love with breakfast while making these.
So, if you’re ready, you can make your own Unicorn Pancakes right now. No permission required.
Being an adult has its perks.

If you love these Unicorn Pancakes as much as I do, save the recipe and make them a regular weekend ritual. They’re easy to adapt and a fun way to brighten any morning.

They’re so much fun that I made a second pin-worthy photo because why not—pin them both and spread the joy.

There’s also a short slideshow video showing the making of these pancakes—it’s a cheerful little clip that captures the process.

Unicorn Pancakes
I love a cute and silly recipe. One that tastes as delightful as it looks deserves the name Unicorn Pancakes. Make them at least once—you (and everyone at your table) will be glad you did.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 drops red gel food coloring
- 2 drops violet gel food coloring
- 1 stick butter, softened
- Whipped cream
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- Sprinkles
Instructions
- Start by sifting the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add the sugar and whisk to combine.
- Whisk in the egg, milk and oil until a smooth batter forms.
- Divide the batter into two bowls and tint each with the gel food coloring until evenly colored.
- Heat a skillet over medium and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray. Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake and cook until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip and cook until the edges are lightly browned.
- Stack the pancakes, drizzle with condensed milk, top with whipped cream and sprinkles, and enjoy the sweet, colorful treat.
Notes
Yields: Approximately 8–10 small pancakes. Adjust colors and toppings to suit your taste—try different gel colors for a multicolored stack.
